Important! LabMan has been rescheduled for new dates in 2022: June 29th, June 30th, and July 1st.
Here are some answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about safety and the COVID-19 pandemic. We will be updating this section more frequently so check back often, but if you still have a question please reach out to us at [email protected]
While attendees and sponsors are not required to be fully vaccinated right now (as of April 2022), we very strongly recommend that you get vaccinated (or if you're already vaccinated then to get a booster) and do so at least 2 weeks before the conference. We also very strongly recommend you check with your own organization for policies pertaining to vaccination status while traveling as well as your local and state health organizations around guidance and requirements for your respective area before traveling.
During the LabMan 2022 conference, VCU (the host school) may adjust their policy at any time to require that individuals demonstrate their vaccination status to meet certain criteria for eligiblity to participate in on-campus activities.
Currently, VCU does not require individuals to wear masks or other face coverings on-campus either outdoors or indoors in non-instructional settings. If participants prefer to wear a mask or face covering, they may do so at their own discretion without fear of repercussion.

During the conference, activities such as presentations, workshops, and in-person gatherings where groups of more than 10 people may gather could be physically/socially distanced out of an abundance of caution and to promote an atmosphere of safety and inclusivity for individuals who may prefer to remain distanced from others. While not all activities will be physically/socially distanced, we encourage all participants to consider their own health and safety needs when interacting with others.
